About our community

We have a very simple reason why our parish exists:

We want all to be one in Christ for the glory of God.

purpose & vision

Because we want everyone to know Christ, our purpose and vision are rather simple and straight-forward:

To proclaim the Gospel so that all will be one in Christ for the glory of God.

Holy Trinity Parish is a Catholic community forming missionary disciples who live as stewards committed to hospitality, prayer, formation, and service.

our history

In 1992, a group of 600 people came together to form a new Catholic faith community in western El Dorado County.

They had no land, no church, and no buildings.

What they did have was a desire to share the Good News of Christ with all they encountered.

Today, that community is known as Holy Trinity Parish.

Over a quarter-century since its founding, Holy Trinity Parish has grown to be a vibrant, Christ-centered community of more than 1,500 families.

Although set in an idyllic setting high on a hill, what makes the parish most special is
the people who make up our community — generous stewards who have made a
deliberate decision to live as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ.

But we also look to the future.

We know that investing in our parish, our ministries, and our people is critical
to our vision to form missionary disciples who live as stewards committed to hospitality, prayer, formation, and service.

Because we want everyone to experience the joy and peace that comes from knowing Christ.

know Jesus.

"So I ask you:

are you looking for empty thrills in life, or do you want to feel a power that can give you a lasting sense of life and fulfillment?  Empty thrills or the power of grace?  What do you want: empty thrills or the power of fullness?  To find fulfillment, to gain new strength. There is a way.

It is not a thing or an object, but a person. His name is Jesus Christ."

Pope Francis

At Holy Trinity, our greatest desire is for you to know Jesus.

We don't want you to know about Jesus.  Or to think about him as some historical figure.  Or just as a great man who performed miracles.

We want you to really know Jesus.  Personally.

Our hope is that you develop a personal friendship with our Lord -- because it is the one friendship that lasts for all of eternity.

With great joy in the Risen Christ, we invite you to  walk with Jesus here at Holy Trinity.

Sacraments at holy trinity parish

We would love to start a conversation with you to begin preparations to receive the Sacraments.

Baptism, First Penance, First Eucharist, and Confirmation
The formation for the celebration of the sacraments of Penance, Eucharist, and Confirmation is a developmental process that includes formation at home, in the classroom, and within our entire parish community – because in faith a child does not stand alone.
