welcome to holy trinity parish!
In 1992, a group of 600 people came together to form a new Catholic faith community in western El Dorado County.
They had no land, no church, and no buildings.
What they did have was a desire to share the Good News of Christ with all they encountered.
Today, that community is known as Holy Trinity Parish.
Over a quarter-century since its founding, Holy Trinity Parish has grown to be a vibrant, Christ-centered community of more than 1,500 families.
Although set in an idyllic setting high on a hill, what makes the parish most special is the people who make up our community — generous stewards who have made a deliberate decision to live as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ.
But we also look to the future.
We know that investing in our parish, our ministries, and our people is critical to our vision to form missionary disciples who live as stewards committed to hospitality, prayer, formation, and service.
Because we want everyone to experience the joy and peace that comes from knowing Christ.
know jesus personally
At Holy Trinity, our greatest desire is for you to know Jesus.
We don't want you to know about Jesus. Or to think about him as some historical figure. Or just as a great man who performed miracles.
We want you to really know Jesus. Personally.
Our hope is that you develop a personal friendship with our Lord -- because it is the one friendship that lasts for all of eternity.
With great joy in the Risen Christ, we invite you to walk with Jesus here at Holy Trinity.
Holy Trinity Parish exists to help you strengthen your relationship with God.
We think a big part of that is building relationships with one another.
Relationships built on the foundation of Christ are lasting, solid, and meaningful. So it doesn't matter where you are on your journey of faith, you can make connections here.
We want your experience here to be as inviting as possible -- because we want you to feel at home at Holy Trinity.
From our greeters who welcome you at the doors of the Church, to our children's programs during Sunday Mass which give parents the chance to worship God without distraction, to our active service groups, to our inspiring music at our weekend Masses, we have worked hard to create a parish environment with you in mind.
We think you'll find that our friendly people and relevant message will keep you coming back.
Baptism, First Penance, First Eucharist, and Confirmation
The formation for the celebration of the sacraments of Penance, Eucharist, and Confirmation is a developmental process that includes formation at home, in the classroom, and within our entire parish community – because in faith a child does not stand alone.
For more information contact the Faith Formation Ministry by phone at 530.677.3234 or email at email@example.com
Penance, Marriage, Annotating of the Sick
The Sacrament of Penance is offered each Saturday in the Church from 4:30-5:15 PM. Confessions may also be made by appointment.
For marriage, our Diocese calls for a minimum of six months of preparation prior to the wedding celebration.
Anointing of the Sick can be received when someone is suffering from a major illness or disease, will undergo a serious operation, or whose health is frail due to advanced age.
For more information contact the Parish Office at 530.677.3234 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We make it a priority to get people connected to each other. Here are some good ways to get started:
Register with the parish
Join us at Mass
Meet others as you grow in your faith
Come to one of our upcoming events
Sign up for one of our Scripture studies
Reach out and serve the community with us
Get involved in one of our Small Christian Communities
Whatever you do, make sure to stick around a little after Sunday morning Mass and enjoy our complimentary coffee and donuts. (We serve over 20,000 each year). It's been a Holy Trinity tradition since the beginning!
If you wish to join the Holy Trinity Parish faith community, please pick up a New Parishioner Pre-Registration form at the Welcome Information Center in the Narthex of the Church after Mass, stop by the parish office to complete a form, or complete it online. After you turn that in, a member of our Welcoming Ministry will reach out to you.
If you are new, or hoping to get re-acquainted, or just looking for a little more information, we hope that you will find your spiritual home in our wonderful community.
interested in becoming catholic?
Interested in learning what it means to become Catholic? You deserve to get answers before making a commitment.
Explore the Catholic faith in a friendly and relaxed environment. The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is the perfect opportunity for non-Catholics looking to take a next step in their relationship with God and His Church.
RCIA is a unique process for adults, youth and children, primarily for those who are unbaptized or baptized Christians interested in exploring Catholicism. It is also a great opportunity for baptized Catholics who have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation that would like to learn more about our faith as they consider receiving that Sacrament.
Please contact our Faith Formation Ministry for more details at 530.677.3234, option 2, or email@example.com.
Alpha creates an environment of hospitality, where people who might not call themselves Christians can discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. But Alpha is also for Christians who want to deepen their relationship with Christ too.
No two Alphas look the same, but they generally have two key things in common: an Alpha talk and good conversation.
